You will not have to pay any legal costs while the claim is running and all of your legal costs will be paid at the conclusion of the claim when you receive your lump sum payment.

We will pay for all medical report fees and any other disbursements which need to be paid while the claim is running.

At the conclusion of the claim your workers’ compensation insurer (in addition to paying a lump sum payment to finalise the claim) will make a reasonable contribution towards payment of your legal costs, however they are not required to pay for all of your legal costs and there is always a “gap fee” that is payable by the client.

The “gap fee” which you will pay in your case when it is settled will not exceed 10% of any final lump sum payment.

You are entitled to weekly payments of your salary, medical expenses, the services of a rehabilitation provider to assist you in a your return to work as well as travel expenses.
